I feel immensely grateful to have attended βThe Gatheringβ, a retreat led by the beautifully inspiring Beth, who brought together a group of women to share, laugh, cry, release, heal, learn, love, connect and be nourished.
Donnybrook is a charming country town about 35 minutes inland from Bunbury and is mostly known for apples. It is the apple capital of the west and celebrates all things apples, with an annual Apple Festival, orchards galore where you can go apple picking and an Apple Fun Park (ie. the best playground youβve ever seen). Itβs pretty hard to beat a super fresh, just picked, crunchy, juicy, apple. But in recent years the region has been gaining attention for another type of fruit it grows, grapes, and by grapes, I mean wine.
Before I got engaged and went into planning mode to organise a wedding in 4 months, we enjoyed a little adventure through one of my favourite parts of the world, Ferguson Valley. A real gem in the Bunbury Geographe region, rolling hills, lush pastures, stunning vineyards, delicious food and wonderful people.

Where to start, well, not at the beginning because that story is way too long so letβs start at the end and by end I mean the present moment. A moment in time that feels like a culmination and a completion of a particular chapter, with a new chapter unfolding just around the corner. Iβm where I am today after starting my own healing journey at the beginning of the year, a journey that was spurred on due to struggles with infertility.
