Mr Mustang Hire | Donnybrook

Donnybrook is a charming country town about 35 minutes inland from Bunbury and is mostly known for apples. It is the apple capital of the west and celebrates all things apples, with an annual Apple Festival, orchards galore where you can go apple picking and an Apple Fun Park (ie. the best playground you’ve ever seen). It’s pretty hard to beat a super fresh, just picked, crunchy, juicy, apple. But in recent years the region has been gaining attention for another type of fruit it grows, grapes, and by grapes, I mean wine.

Pop a Cork Tours | Ferguson Valley

Before I got engaged and went into planning mode to organise a wedding in 4 months, we enjoyed a little adventure through one of my favourite parts of the world, Ferguson Valley. A real gem in the Bunbury Geographe region, rolling hills, lush pastures, stunning vineyards, delicious food and wonderful people.

After our first Truffle Kerfuffle festival experience last year we were hooked so there was no doubt we would attend again (and again, and again). Held at the end of June at Fonty’s Pool in Manjimup, this stunning location transforms into all things truffle.

Eagle Bay Residences | The Grand

This stunning home, set amongst trees on the hill overlooking some of the clearest water in the world, is unparalleled in its luxury and grandeur. This home is, however, designed to really “live” in - with privacy and relaxation in mind - and after a few days we found ourselves rather disappointed to have to leave and return to reality.

Tucked away at the back of Dardanup is a little oasis. Lush expanses of lawn surrounded by native bush. Tangles of creeping green, giving forth flowery bursts of colour here and there.

The magic of Golden Valley Tree Farm|Balingup

Visit Golden Valley on any given day and you could be forgiven for thinking you’d stepped into a European park or forest… which is exactly what I love about it.
